Hallelujah!

Praise the Lord! After only 7 years I will be receiving that very expensive piece of paper. On August 7 I will get my degree!!!!!!!!! I am so ecstatic. When I went to the school today to have my pre-grad check, I was sooo nervous. My biggest fear was to hear that there was more than just the one class needed for me to graduate in August or that my GPA wasn't high enough (even though I knew it was) or something off the wall that would prevent me from graduating. BUT that was not the case!!! Yay!!!
Since I was in Jonesboro and visiting with mom and the kids, I was sneaky and got on Amanda's computer just to make this post. Hopefully we will have a new computer next week and I can get back to blogging and downloading pics. I have some VERY cute ones of the girls in their new dresses before church on Sunday!

Breakdown

Right now I am over at my sister's apartment on her computer. Our computer is getting repairs from a MAJOR virus. Was planning to really get into blogging and then crash! Hopefully it won't take long and I will be back on with more pics!

She LOVES to be outside

So it has been a looonnnggg time since my last post and so much has happened. My camera fell on the concrete @ the bowling alley not long after my last post. It is broken and can't seem to find a place to take it to have it repaired. The pics above are compliments of Grams. Sofie has started eating cereal and just this last week began baby food. Yay! Thus far her favorite would have to be sweet potatoes. She has taken her first 4-wheeler ride, rolled over from back to front, and is very vocal! Still haven't been able to convince her to roll from stomach to back but we are working on it.
Biggest change in the last 2 months...we have moved. Ryan and I have been discussing this for a long time now and it just worked out with my not going back to work that this was the perfect timing for us. We have moved to Harrison...well at least the girls and I have. Ryan is still in Jonesboro working waiting on his transfer while we are staying with dad and madea looking for a house to have ready when he gets up here. I sure hope its soon!
Sadie is enrolled in Preschool. We went to view it on Tuesday and she did NOT want to leave. We got there in time for their first recess so she was able to go out on the playground with the other children. I had the hardest time convincing her to leave. Her words were, "But momma those kids need me to play with them. They are waiting on me." It broke my heart but also made me feel at ease. She can't wait for August now.
Right now we are working on my sister's wedding plans and Sadie's 3rd birthday plans. We are thinking a trip to Silver Dollar City would be perfect for Sadie. She is just the right age to really enjoy their Kids Park.
I have lots more cute pics to sure but didn't want to overload. Tomorrow is Crawdad Days on the square and I am hoping to get more there and then at the Carnival tomorrow night.

Model Diva

The girls and I have been staying with Grams and Grandad this week. Ryan went back home Sunday, but we decided to stay for the week to visit since we didn't have any pressing issues at home. So, Grams has been sewing and making all kinds of cute things for Sofie and let me just say, she is a very cute model. Sadie said that one is for Sofie and Grams make Sadie one, so now Grams has to make something for Sadie. We have done quit a bit this week. Saturday we went to Fayetteville to visit with Uncle Jeff, Aunt Beth and their kids. We had such a good time. Sadie FINALLY allowed someone to trim her hair and I got some blonde (woohoo!). It was very interesting to drive back at midnight in all that snow. That was a very long car ride home. On Tuesday we took the girls to the Library. Sadie had a very good time, but not because of the books. She enjoyed playing with all the kids. I guess that is something I don't realize she is deprived of being at home with me until we are around other kids her age. She threw a major temper tantrum when it was time to leave. I had to literally hoist her up on my side and carry her out of there kicking and screaming. My new goal is to get her around kids her own age at least one day a week so we can avoid this in the future. Any ideas on keeping an almost 3 year old entertained are welcomed and appreciated! Thursday we are going dress shopping. She is going to be the flower girl in my sister Paige's wedding in June. I cannot wait to see her all dressed up! She will definitely think she is a princess then.

I'm Back!!

So I know it has been forever since I have posted and a lot has happened. It all started with Sadie coming back home sick. We took her to the Dr. and he said she had allergy problems, not contagious. Apparently whatever she had was contagious because Sofie was the next to get it, then myself, then Ryan. Mine consisted of a sore throat and cough that lasted 2-3 days. Sofie got sick last Thursday with bronchitis! She went in yesterday for her 2 month checkup and she is STILL sick...seems to be out of her lungs finally, but bless her heart, she is still so sick. Ryan started getting sick last weekend and finally went to the dr yesterday as well. He also has bronchitis! He sounds so miserable = ( I have my fingers crossed they are all well in the next few days. I don't think I can take sickness much longer.
All this sickness put a damper on our visit with Kale. We didn't get to get out and do anything we wanted and no one cooperated for pictures. We spent all of our time with him at our house or at Ryan's parents house. We enjoyed every second of our visit with him, but I know he would have enjoyed getting out and doing something. Hopefully we won't all be so ill next visit. It seems like he grew 6 inches just in the short time it has been since we seen him last. He looks so cute with his toothless grin! Too bad its not Christmastime because thats the song to fit him best right now...all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!
Sofie went in for her 2 month checkup yesterday. She weighs 11lbs 3oz! We went from not being able to gain and not being able to fit into any clothes to 11lbs. She is measuring 22 inches...a growth of 2 1/4 inches since birth. They were out of the shots she needed so that will wait a few days...thank goodness. That is one thing I always HATE to have done. I prefer Ryan be the bad guy. hehe
Big News...I quit my job! I was suppose to go back last Tuesday and that Sunday before, out of the blue, Ryan says "You're not going back. I want you to stay home with the kids." Do you think he got an argument from me?? Absolutely not. So I went in Monday, gave my 2 wk notice, but they said I didn't need to come back in just for 2 wks. It would have taken several days just to get me back in the system, so no need to come in at all! I was so dreading it and so glad that is all behind us now. Just this week Sadie has been to Chic-Fil-A to play, the mall, and Chuck E Cheese. This next week our big trip will be to the library. She loves to read.
Well that is a recap of our last 2 wks. Hope all is well with everyone!

Craziness

Today has been a very long and eventful day. It began this morning at 5:55 a.m. with a call from Ryan. His truck was messed up and he barely made it to work. Sofie and I had to be in town in time to take him to lunch and then we decided to stick around and make a day of it...and boy did we ever. We visited with mom at her office, got some ice cream, did a little shopping, and ran some errands. Then we met Ryan at Autozone only to discover it wasn't the battery as we had hoped, it was the alternator. There went $200 in one swipe. Then we went around trying to find a daycare for the kiddos because I have to go back to work in less than 2 wks =( Lets just say at $210/wk mom will probably become a stay at home mommy. That is outrageous! I knew it was going to be up there, but I definitely wasn't expecting that high. Anyway, we got home long enough for Sofie to have a diaper change and a bottle, then it was off again. This time to a Home and Garden party. We had such a good time. She, of course, made her way around the room eating up all the attention. I am considering becoming an H&G party consultant. Maybe that would allow me to stay at home with the kids and still help out financially. I have put it all in His hands so I know things will work out for the best.
Sadie and Kale will both be heading back this way in the morning! We are so excited. It has been different going back to just having one kiddo around to take care of. I am hoping to get some pics of the three of them together this weekend. I just hope they turn out better than before.
I have some new pics of Sofie having a long intimate conversation with her fish hanging above her swing. They are absolutely adorable. It takes a while to download, so I am off to bed and will post them in the a.m.!

Random Pics

Here are some random pics over the last couple of weeks to get us started!

Getting Started

When I began to notice links on facebook for blogs, I decided it was time to start one for our family. The kids are changing everyday and what better way to let everyone stay up to date than a blog...so here we are. Sofie is officially 6 wks old today. It sure doesn't seem like she should be that old already. It is also 2 wks from today that I have to return to work. That makes me cry just thinking about it. I have been home with Sadie since I had to go on leave in November and I know this is going to be devastating for her. We were really hoping that certain things would work out so that I wouldn't have to return to work, but so far that hasn't happened.
Anyway, Sadie is with her Grandad and Grams this week. I have to go to Little Rock Wednesday with mom and Sadie loves to stay with her grandparents, so that is where she ended up for the week.
Kale will be back in AR at the end of the week and we are all counting down the days! He has only been gone a few weeks and already lost another tooth. I will definitely try to get some pics of that posted on here. I am hoping, all fingers and toes crossed, to get some good pics of the kids while he is home. We tried before he left, but they aren't the best. Sadie believes she has to mimic big brother in everything that he does, so if he has his hands in his mouth, so does she. All the pics we took they both have their hands in their mouths and Sofie is sliding off the couch. Gotta love 'em! She even drinks from her cup backwards like he does. You can take the cup and turn it around the correct way for either of them, but they both just rebel and turn it right back around.
Well, enough of my rambling. It is 1 am and my typing is waking the baby. My checkup is this afternoon, so hopefully later on in the evening I can get some pics posted.
By the way, if anyone can tell me how to get our family name across the top but not covering their faces, I would appreciate it!
